Adsense Click Fraud - Better Beware Than
Wary
When something is
successful, frauds do creep in. This is very much true in
case of Adsesnse.
In Adsense, a webmaster gets money if a surfer licks on the
ads displayed on the webmaster’s web page.
If these clicks are found
to be fraud ones, Google immediately terminates the Account
of the concerned webmaster.
Given the fact that Adsense means more earnings, no
webmaster would like his account terminated. For no mistake
of him/her webmaster may get the beating.
To escape the threat of
getting terminated for click fraud, you should be aware of
what this fraud is all about and how to prevent then from
happening.
How to prevent fraudulent clicks?
If you are offered web
logs by your web hosts, hand them over to Google, so that
they can monitor the activity on your site. This would make
you more credible before Google.
Incorporate click monitor software, which is available for
free. And be sure to submit all the reports generated by
this software to Google.
Keep close watch on server logs. If any thing looks
suspicious, report them at once. Being transparent to
Google, you imply that you too are fighting against click
fraud.
To avoid getting misunderstood from Google that you had
clicked the ads by yourself, you may disable ads for your
geographic region and your own IP address.
It is essential that your ads do not appear on portals
indulging in illegal activities like adultery and gambling.
If you know about this,
you immediately remove Adsense and your content from that
web page. Generally it is better to keep your Adsense off on
pop unders and pop ups.
If possible keep your Adsense information from your family
and friends. In an urge to help you, they may do harm to
you. If they came to know about you incorporating Adsense,
warn them not to click on the ads. Explain them the
consequences. It is better to be safe before than sad later.

fraud.
Google suggests you two ways to help you free from click
fraud:
1. Tracking URL: With this you can track the traffic
originating from Google.
2. Negative Keywords: With this you can prevent your Adsense
Ads from appearing in sites in no way are related to your
products and Services.
Google offers an option of renewing the account even if it
gets terminated for click fraud. But it is a cumbersome
process, and once the credibility is lost it is difficult to
rebuild it. So prevent click fraud from happening.
