Latest Google Adsense News And How It
Affects Your Earnings
|
I don't know
if you've been keeping up with what's going on with Google Adsense these days.
If not, you might want to read this article. The recent changes to this program
will greatly affect your earning potential with Google Adsense.
In case
you're wondering, the good old days are over. Keep reading to find out just what
the heck I'm talking about.
Google Adsense, for quite some time now, has become more and more difficult to
earn a decent income with. The biggest change up until recently was the Adwords
change of allowing for separate bids for search and content sites.
This made it
so that the payouts per click for Adsense ads dropped considerably. And that
would have been enough to turn Adsense into a ghost town alone, but Google
hasn't stopped there.
Just recently, Google has decided to crack down on these low rent arbitrage
pages. If you don't know what these are, a brief explanation is in order.
These pages
are basically set up with very poor or even non existent content simply for the
purpose of redirecting traffic from one pay per click engine, such as Miva, to a
page with Google Adsense ads, strictly for the purpose of earning money from the
potential clicks off these ads.
Have you
seen some of these pages? The majority consist of one article, usually hijacked
from another site, and a bunch of Adsense ads.
Up until
now, people have been making good money with these sites, especially after
purchasing those "Made For Adsense" packages where you get like 100 sites to put
up. Yeah, people were making a real killing. Well, those days are over.
Google has finally taken a long hard look at these crap pages and said "enough!"
Any account they now find that is sporting these types of pages gets closed
down, no questions asked and no chance of getting your account reopened. I know
one guy personally who just lost a $200 a day business because of this latest
change to the Adsense empire.
The truth is, this shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody. Google has been
cracking down on garbage sites in both the Adwords and Adsense arena for some
time now. Their reasoning is simple. They want to give the user of the search
engine a "good user experience," whatever that means in their eyes.
It doesn't
matter what we think, and I've heard all the arguments. If Google thinks we have
a garbage site, expect to either have your Adwords account "Google Slapped" or
find your Adsense account totally closed down.
For those of us who abide by Google's rules, this makes it easier to earn an
income with them. Why? Because there aren't going to be as many people to have
to compete with. Most will take the easy way out and put up crappy sites that
won't get them anywhere.
So take this
latest news as a chance to improve the quality of your sites and make more money
in the long run.
To YOUR Success,
By Steven Wagenheim
